Roslar is a large mining town, built between two volcanic mountains, many miners are employed from the north with promises for a better future, children as young as four are employed and are sent down the mines to carry lunches to the adult miners.
It is said that there is one death per day at the mines, and the miners are payed very little if anything at all. Many of the fields that havent been converted into mines are often full of people at night, the people have nowhere else to sleep.
The "empty" mines are full of creatures, they are worshipped by the inhabitants of the town and the dead miners that can be recovered are dropped into the empty mines, often with scraps of meat from slaughtered animals. Hundreds of brave warriors have dared to fight these animals deep in the mines, their bodies were never found.
In the town, the ores are smelted and turned into weapons, scimitars are made in this town but other towns make all kinds of weapons. Most of the weapons made are sold very cheaply and are used by armies as a cheap weapon supply. Once polished, these scimitars resemble the antique scimitars used by the ancestors of the very people making the scimitars today.

Toscar swung his pickaxe at the rock he had been asigned to, it was very hard work and he didn't know why he worked so hard for little pay, he had once been rich, working in the north but the lust for more money had lured him into Roslar, he was robbed on the way and was treated as a slave. He, like many of the other workers was offered great riches and an easy job, if he didn't work, he would be whipped and killed, sometimes he wished that would happen but at the same time he was very scared.
